At the Career Fair that was held on the 25 and 26 November 2009, different partners were engaged, from business companies, faculties and other supporters of career development. The participants presented opportunities for research and development work in different businesses and further employment opportunities for researchers in business-oriented research and development. The purpose of the fair was to bring and to help target members, job seekers and employers to encourage company development, individual innovation and creativity.
On the 26th of May, Kranjska Gora held the 9th Conference of the Slovenian electro energetic. During panel moderation the companies were able spread knowledge and promote innovation for new energy-efficient products, processes or services, which remain in step with an advisory research, development and business trends.
After the successful organization of the panel a project Green box was developed. The project focused on the low energy costs for domestic food production. It was designed to present the panel members with the process of small farming - an increasing number of individuals living in cities still grow fruit, vegetables and herbs using their own balconies, courtyards, roofs and urban lands.
The Green box project developed solutions for every individual with material prerequisites (balcony, garden) to carry out successful production of healthy and fresh food. The aim of the project was to create an environment that would give users with certain advantages (such as balcony, garden, geographic location) advice about the process of food production.
Smart Grids 009 is a strategic energy conference on intelligence networks, held out in late autumn 2009. It promoted innovative discourse on topics such as research, development and technology. Special emphasis was given to the spread of innovation in Slovenia and other countries of Southeastern Europe. Its main goal was to contribute towards greater cooperation between educative institutions, economic sector, researchers and innovators in the wider area of Southeastern Europe and Slovenia.
Energy efficient 009 is a seminar, prepared in autumn 2009 that provided its participants with some practical examples of the energy sector innovations. Seminar experts/lecturers attempted to firstly demonstrate whether and why energy management is an investment with a 100-percent reimbursement and secondly clarified positive effects of innovations for different companies.
The seminar on energy innovation consisted of two plenary lectures, two workshops and a round table on "How innovation in the energy sector contributes to a competitive advantage". The lectures have also presented a number of energy-efficient company practices, useful as a good example of creating and using innovative solutions in the energy sector.
The seminar also included an illustration of the torification processes, used to improve sustainable biomass production and consumption. The increasing share of biomass is one of the main national and overall energy and environmental policy priorities. Considering limited oil and solid fuels stocks, a continuous and coherent development also depends on the provision of other comparable sources of energy.
Investment Conference held in November 2009 was at the time one of the most critical energetic issues influencing future Southeastern European development. It included the leading energy companies taking part in energy project in basically entire region. These companies brought together senior representatives of the ministries of Energy in the wider region, which presented future opportunities for investment in energy projects in Europe. This conference definitely encouraged investment in energy projects in Slovenia, and presented valuable energy innovations.
